Need an Official Docket or Record?
Common Matagorda County requests should be routed as follows:
- A docket sheet: run a case search through the statewide portal, or request the docket from the clerk of court
- A court date or setting: check the court calendar, or confirm the setting with the clerk of court
- Certified copies: order from the clerk of court, who is the keeper of the docket and the official record
- A specific case: look it up with a case search by party name or case number
- Court records and case files: see court records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
District felony, civil, family, juvenile, and child-protection requests go to the Matagorda County District Clerk at 1700 Seventh Street, Room 307, Bay City, TX 77414. Call 979-244-7621 or email dclerk@co.matagorda.tx.us. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closes from noon to 1 p.m. County misdemeanor, civil, probate, and mental-health requests go to the Matagorda County Clerk at the same street address in Room 202. Call 979-244-7680 or email coclerk@co.matagorda.tx.us. The County Clerk posts the same weekday hours and noon closure.
